Job Description
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for supporting the organization’s goals by performing a range of duties that includes preparation and writing subcontractor contracts for different construction trade. This role contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and may involve cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform daily tasks in accordance with organizational policies and standards.
- Analyze and evaluate sub-bid analysis from Estimating template.
- Collaborate with senior procurement engineers and procurement managers to work on multiple projects.
- Proficiently communicates with Project Team and Subcontractors for resolution of issues.
- Reaching out to subcontractors for Prequalification and MSA process
Essential Skills
Technical
- Proficient to write contracts quickly with “No Scope gaps” in mind. and able to provide detailed documents for scopes that are excluded and/or a potential gap.
- Proficient in writing scopes for priority “3” and “4” trades.
- Advance knowledge in Prequal and MSA process.
- Intermediate knowledge in using and navigating the Estimating Template.
- Able to adapt to needs of multiple projects and communicate effectively on progress, bandwidth, etc.
- Juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet all deadlines.
Business and Management
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Basic understanding of business operations and workflows.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or construction related field.
- 5 years of combined work experience in building construction and estimating
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revi, Procore, CMiC, Box.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
