Job Description

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for supporting the organization’s goals by performing a range of duties that includes preparation and writing subcontractor contracts for different construction trade. This role contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and may involve cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform daily tasks in accordance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Analyze and evaluate sub-bid analysis from Estimating template.
  • Collaborate with senior procurement engineers and procurement managers to work on multiple projects.
  • Proficiently communicates with Project Team and Subcontractors for resolution of issues.
  • Reaching out to subcontractors for Prequalification and MSA process

Essential Skills

Technical

  • Proficient to write contracts quickly with “No Scope gaps” in mind. and able to provide detailed documents for scopes that are excluded and/or a potential gap.
  • Proficient in writing scopes for priority “3” and “4” trades.
  • Advance knowledge in Prequal and MSA process.
  • Intermediate knowledge in using and navigating the Estimating Template.
  • Able to adapt to needs of multiple projects and communicate effectively on progress, bandwidth, etc.
  • Juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet all deadlines.

Business and Management

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of business operations and workflows.

Interpersonal

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • High degree of integrity and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or construction related field.
  • 5 years of combined work experience in building construction and estimating
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revi, Procore, CMiC, Box.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
