Procurement Engineer

Job Description

Prepares and write subcontractor contracts for different construction trades
- Ensure that there are “No Scope” gaps
- Identify conflicts and potential RFIs when reviewing contracts documents
- Provide necessary exhibits and references (providing takeoff/estimates)
Analyze and evaluate sub-bid analysis from Estimating template
Collaborate with senior procurement engineers and procurement managers to work on multiple projects
Work with admin department to assist on processing Prequal and MSA process
Reaching out to subcontractors for Prequalification and MSA process
Training of procurement engineer includes a cross training as a cost engineer (this is to familiarize the trainees on reviewing subcontracts and providing references)

Required Skills

Must speak, read and write fluent English
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Keen attention to detail
Proficient in reading construction plans, drawings, and specifications
Project Management skills
Ability to perform quantity survey (take-offs) and identify different construction materials
Juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet all deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction related field
3 years minimum combined work experience in building construction and estimating
Proficient with the following software programs:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- BlueBeam
- Box
- CMiC
- PlanGrid
