Job Description
The Junior Cost Engineer is responsible for supporting the organization’s goals by performing a range of duties in review and verify Change Order Request pricing from subcontractor to assist the Project Manager before submitting to the Owner. This role contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and may involve cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform daily tasks in accordance with organizational policies and standards.
- Accurately review change order request pricing received from subcontractors.
- Knowledge and understanding in other trades / disciplines.
- Effectively communicates with Project Team and Subcontractors for resolution of issues.
Essential Skills
Technical
- Proficient in reading construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to perform quantity survey (take-offs) and identify different construction materials.
- Juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet all deadlines.
Business and Management
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Basic understanding of business operations and workflows.
