Job Description
- The communication trainer is responsible for understanding the company’s communication needs, create and conduct a training program, and provide individual coaching as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and deliver communication skills training programs for various audiences (i.e. new hires, heavy client-facing staff, managers).
- Topics include public speaking, written communication, presentation skills, interpersonal communication, grammar conventions, and active listening.
- Assess overall company and individual training needs to identify specific areas for development
- Develop engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, handouts, and online modules.
- Facilitate training sessions using different techniques, such as lectures, group discussions, role-playing exercises, and simulations.
- Provide constructive feedback to help trainees improve their communication skills.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed.
- Observe trainees in their on-the-job communication and provide immediate feedback.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest communication trends and best practices
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service, active listening, verbal and written communication skills, and professional phone voice.
- Highly organized and able to generate professional documents.
- Comfortable giving feedback and identifying root causes of communication issues.
- The ability to work on a fixed night shift schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years communication trainer or equivalent in BPO, working with American clients is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, education, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging and interactive training programs
- Delivers concise and thoughtful feedback
- Experience with adult learning principles
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with trainees
