Scope

The BIM Coordinator supports the VDC team by fulfilling Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across disciplines. This role ensures model accuracy, facilitates collaboration, and maintains compliance with project standards and timelines.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support VDC Team Leads and Project Managers with model-based planning, scheduling, and visualization to improve coordination and decision-making.
  • Organize BIM workflows across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, ensuring model consistency and integration. 
  • Conduct clash detection and model coordination using tools like Navisworks and Revit, and document issues for resolution. 
  • Update NWD files and export NWC files regularly to reflect the latest model progress and distribute to stakeholders. 
  • Publish models and documentation for sign-off in Procore, ensuring version control and accessibility, under supervision of senior management. 
  • Submit weekly reports to the project team summarizing recent uploads of subcontractor models. 
  • Facilitate model reviews with project teams and stakeholders, providing visualizations and walkthroughs as needed. 
  • Overlay 2D deck penetration drawings onto models to validate alignment and ensure constructability. 
  • Apply RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plan) overhead overlays to coordinate ceiling systems with MEP components and architectural finishes. 
  • Able to Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM tools, standards, and best practices. 
  • Ensure compliance with company and client BIM standards and protocols, and assist in quality control of model deliverables. 

Essential Skills

Technical 

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and ACC/BIM 360. 
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and project delivery methods. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve modeling issues.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of construction workflows and project coordination

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.  
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM coordination or VDC-related roles.  
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.  
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation and project delivery methods.  
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
